Giving "props"

I was so excited on Friday to receive an email from my print studio, Color Incorporated telling me one of the photos I had printed was selected as a staff favorite that week....until I realized it wasn't a photo I had taken!

Nonetheless, it IS a phenomenal photo, and I must give props to the photographer, Jay Harsevoort. This picture currently hangs on my wall, but if you'd like any from his set, let me know and I'm sure we can find a way to help you purchase one!

Here's a link to Jay's set from Maasai Mara (Kenya): http://flickr.com/photos/30722453@N02/sets/72157608056441392/

Happy to be....

...stuck in a field with a wonderful family - the Heinerts (and Grandma and Grandpa too).

Kevin, Nadyne & Ava - what a cute family. Thanks for being so fun to shoot!

Introducing Ty...

JR & Ronda spent some time with me and the camera before Ty arrived...and finally, after three months we got together again! This time we all got to share in the wonder of baby Ty!

Kraus Family...take two.

My cousin, Stacy (Shooks) Kraus graciously lets me stay at her home when I'm in SE Michigan - as do her parents - I'm so fortunate to have such loving family members!

In exchange for "hotel services," I take pics of Stacy's family. This time it was extended family, all of her husband's fam...let's just say 8 adults are easy, but add 6 kids to that, and whew, this photographer crashed at 7:40 pm!

I haven't had much time for editing this week, so there's just a couple up here:

'Da Shoes

"And the bride wore red."

Red shoes, that is. I couldn't imagine a better pick for the woman who loves Nathan....and shoes....(in that order). Nate & Amanda....chills, tears, and an amazing amount of love. I pray for a wonderful life together and am happy to call you both my friend.

A b-lag in b-logging....

So this may be a long one.....or multiple posts in one night.

First off....introducing Evan.

Evan, I met your momma over a year ago at her cousin's wedding, and since then we realized we have serious Kevin Bacon-ish connections. Every time we talk, there is another connection. It was wonderful to spend time getting to know you - I'm sure I'll see more of you!
